(Cantieri Riuniti dell'Adriatico), the CANT Z 506 Airone (Heron) was a triple-engine, low-wing floatplane characterized by an extraordinary reliability and robustness. It entered in service in the second half of the ‘30s. Despite the fuselage and the wings based on wooden structures, the Airone was able to operate in very bad weather conditions. It was used by Italian Regia Aeronautica as bomber and long range maritime reconnaissance aircraft. It was also used to perform search and rescue duties on the sea. The good flying performance are proved by the extraordinary longevity. Some “506” examples survived in post-war service until 1960 and they have been used as S.A.R. planes by Italian Air Force.The manufacturer of the kit is Italerie.This model is only online available.

(Cantieri Riuniti dell’Adriatico), le CANT Z 506 Airone (Heron) était un hydravion à aile basse à trois moteurs caractérisé par une fiabilité et une robustesse extraordinaires. Il est entré en service dans la seconde moitié des années 30. Malgré le fuselage et les ailes basés sur des structures en bois, l’Airone a pu fonctionner dans de très mauvaises conditions météorologiques. Il a été utilisé par la Regia Aeronautica italienne comme bombardier et avion de reconnaissance maritime à long rayon d’action. Il a également été utilisé pour effectuer des tâches de recherche et de sauvetage en mer. Les bonnes performances de vol sont prouvées par l’extraordinaire longévité.
