Glickenhaus

Glickenhaus is an American manufacturer of high-performance sports cars, racing cars, and off-road vehicles, founded by James Glickenhaus, a passionate car enthusiast and entrepreneur. The company is known for creating exclusive, innovative vehicles, often with a focus on motorsports and cutting-edge design.

Glickenhaus founded his company in 2004 and initially gained attention for creating custom-designed vehicles for motorsports, including Le Mans-style race cars. One of the company's first notable projects was the creation of the P4/5 (2006), a bespoke, one-off sports car based on the Ferrari 430 Scuderia. This vehicle, created in collaboration with Pininfarina, was built to Glickenhaus’s specifications and was inspired by the Ferrari P4 racing car from the 1960s.

Glickenhaus made a significant leap into the world of professional motorsport by competing in the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. The company’s entry into the Le Mans Prototype (LMP) category helped elevate its profile in the motorsports world. The SCG 003 was developed by Glickenhaus as a Le Mans prototype and designed specifically for endurance racing.

Glickenhaus's reputation for designing and building race cars eventually led to the creation of road-going versions of its racing vehicles. Glickenhaus vehicles are highly exclusive and offer extensive customization options for owners. Each vehicle is typically produced in limited quantities, ensuring that each car is unique and tailored to the customer’s specifications. This focus on personalization has earned Glickenhaus a dedicated following among motorsport enthusiasts and luxury car collectors.
