Toro Rosso was a Formula 1 team that competed from 2006 to 2009 and was the sister team of Red Bull Racing.

Toro Rosso was created by Red Bull as a way to develop young drivers and give them an opportunity to compete in Formula 1. The team was originally formed when Red Bull Racing purchased the assets of the Minardi F1 Team in 2005.

The name Toro Rosso means "Red Bull" in Italian and was chosen to represent the link to Red Bull Racing, which was also owned by the energy drink company.

In 2010, the team was rebranded as Scuderia Toro Rosso (meaning "Team Red Bull" in Italian), but in 2016, it was once again rebranded, this time as AlphaTauri, reflecting Red Bull’s fashion brand. The rebranding marked the start of a new focus for the team, which was now more closely aligned with Red Bull's interests outside of motorsport.

While Toro Rosso struggled to consistently compete with the top teams, it helped develop future F1 stars, particularly Sebastian Vettel, who would go on to become a four-time World Champion. The team was rebranded as AlphaTauri in 2016, and it continues to compete in Formula 1, now focusing on both motorsport and the promotion of Red Bull's fashion brand.
