Veritas was a German automotive brand that was involved in the production of high-performance sports cars. While it had a relatively short history in terms of manufacturing, it made a lasting impression with its distinctive cars that focused on speed, design, and engineering excellence.

Veritas was originally a racing car manufacturer founded in 1946 in Germany by Hans Rüsch and Walter A. Kaesbach. The company’s initial focus was on producing racing cars and sports cars that could compete in the post-war European motorsport scene.

Veritas was primarily known for its lightweight, high-performance cars, and it quickly gained a reputation for engineering fast, stylish vehicles with innovative designs.

Veritas began with racing cars designed to compete in the International Automobile Sports Federation (FIA) and other European racing events. They utilized BMW engines and other advanced mechanical features that gave them an edge on the racetrack.

The Veritas Rennsport model, which debuted in the late 1940s, was one of the most notable racing cars of the brand. It was an open-cockpit roadster, built with a lightweight chassis and powered by a straight-six engine, typically from BMW. The car’s speed and aerodynamics made it competitive in various racing events.

The company struggled financially, and by the mid-1950s, Veritas was forced to cease production of its cars, and the brand faded into history. The Veritas factory in Frankfurt closed, and the company was ultimately absorbed by other entities.
