Delahaye was a prestigious French automobile manufacturer, known for producing high-quality luxury cars, racing cars, and innovative engineering during the early to mid-20th century.

Founded in 1894, Delahaye became synonymous with elegance, performance, and luxury, producing some of the most sought-after and iconic cars of its time. The brand was also active in Le Mans and other endurance events, building racing cars with powerful 8-cylinder engines and lightweight chassis designed for high-speed performance.

In 1935, Delahaye merged with Delage, a rival French luxury car manufacturer, to form a stronger entity. However, the merger marked the beginning of the end for Delahaye as an independent brand. The newly formed company continued to produce luxury cars and racing vehicles under the Delahaye name for a time, but the brand lost much of its original identity in the process.

In the early 1950s, the Delahaye name was effectively retired, as the brand became increasingly overshadowed by other French and European luxury car manufacturers. Despite the decline and eventual end of production, Delahaye’s legacy as one of the foremost producers of luxury cars and motorsport vehicles remains intact.

The company’s cars, particularly those from the 1920s and 1930s, continue to be highly regarded by collectors, enthusiasts, and historians. Today, many of Delahaye’s finest cars are displayed in museums and private collections around the world
